You can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk…to end homelessness? Join us for a 1k race to raise money and awareness for the families, single women and youth experiencing homelessness.

Help us make history as we attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most people completing a 1k race in flip flops! Grab your family, friends and flip flops and Walk the Walk to End Homelessness! 

*Please Note: Online Registration will close at Noon on Friday, September, 21st. Anyone wishing to still register may register at the event.

Early Pick-Up Dates
Skip the line on the day of the event and pick up your shirt, flip flops and Zoo wristband (must be worn to enter the Zoo) early. Team Captains can pick up items for their entire team or individuals can pick up their own items.

UMOM’s mission is to prevent and end homelessness with innovative strategies and housing solutions that meet the unique needs of each family and individual. Founded in 1964, UMOM is located in Phoenix, Arizona and is an innovative provider of shelter, housing and services for people experiencing homelessness.

Every night UMOM provides safe shelter and supportive services for over 170 homeless families, 130 single women and 70 youth. We also offer nearly 300 units of affordable housing across the Valley.

The Phoenix Zoo is located at 455 N. Galvin Parkway Phoenix, Arizona. The entrance to the Zoo is off Galvin Parkway in Papago Park, between McDowell and Van Buren. Please click here for more detailed directions to the Zoo.
